BRUNO MANSER

Bruno Manser was born August 25, 1954 in Basel, Switzerland.He was an environmental activist and well-known in Switzerland.His public activism is for rainforest preservation and the protection of indigenous peoples became the Penan figurehead for their struggle.Futhermore,help alleviate the plight of the Penan, the last remaining rainforest nomads of Borneo. Determined to end Manser's anti-logging activities, search parties were sent out to find him. Twice Manser was captured, but both times he managed to escape. A government bounty to bring the Swiss activist in dead or alive grew until it reached US $50,000. Due to stepped-up involvement by the military, Bruno Manser was eventually forced to flee Malaysia in 1990.In our opinion,action bronu manser defend race penant is justified.
