HEARING IS EXERCISE FOR THE EAR, LISTENING IS EXERCISE FOR THE BRAIN

Hearing is one of the common sense in human being. Hearing happen when sound or noise enter to our ear. It is the ability to perceive sound by detecting vibration in ear. The vibration will convert sound into impulse and travel through the nerve system to the brain.

Listening is when we interacting, we will understand deeply what other people say. It is called active listening. Active listening is a structured way of listening and responding to other. It focuses attention on the person that we talk with.

'Hearing is exercise for the ear and listening is exercise for the brain'. We are strongly agree with listening because there some method prove that listening is exercise for the brain. We are not agree with hearing is exercise for the ear because when we hear too much sound or noise can cause reducing of ability to hear. It is called hearing deafness. It is because the ear can't detect some frequency.

There are some method that can train our brain by listening. One of them is listen to music. When we listen to music,it can help to improve our brain. This method also can increase brain function. Furthermore, music also can make our brain in relaxing condition. In other word,by listening,we can practice to make our brain be more skillful, active, creative and rational.

Journalist's main responsibility is to tell the true

Journalism is concerned with events, poetry with feelings. Journalism is concerned with the look of the world: poetry with the feel of the world. Journalism wishes to tell what it is that has happened everywhere as though the same things had happened for every man. Poetry wishes to say what it is like to any man to be himself in the presence of a particular occurrence as though only he were alone there.

The purpose of journalism is to document life, to record events and situations for the sake of their relevance and effect. The dispute between MacLeish's vision of journalism and that of critics like Lee, who wish journalists "to do the timely thing with the eternal touch" , is not over journalism's purpose, but how it should go about fulfilling it.

Most writing, even fiction, documents history's passing in one way or another. None, however, do it with the deliberateness and intent of journalism. Other genres of nonfiction document events only as far as it serves their primary purposes. The purpose of journalism leads it to record moments for the sake of those moments, to record history as it happens

Objectivity is a lie.Its value to the purpose of journalism purpose is inflated."To deny the shaping presence of the reporter because of the theoretical demands of detachment and objectivity is to be fundamentally dishonest with the reader as well as oneself" . The principles of objectivity and detachment are useful also insofar as they remind journalists of the importance of evidence and open-mindedness within journalism. Any claim to authority based on those concepts is false.

In addition, journalist is never neutral, never a mere transmission belt. A great journalist must "exhibit an independent intelligence that seeks to wrest meaning from the torrents of event" .Invitable, If the journalist's purpose is to observe and record history as it occurs, he must be allowed the discretion to decide how best to do so. By inhibiting the interpretive intelligence of the writer, conventional journalism shackles itself and "can produce a trained incapacity for thought.

We are strongly agree that journalist's main responsibility is to tell the truth rather than help their newspaper or TV station make a profit by making the news sound more dramatic than it really is.

GENDER DISCRIMINATION IN PAKISTAN

Gender discrimination, also known as sexual discrimination, is the practice of letting a person's sex unfairly become a factor when deciding who receives a job, promotion, or other employment benefit. It most often affects women who feel they have been unfairly discriminated against in favor of a man. But there have also been cases where males have claimed that reverse discrimination has occurred—that is, the woman received unfairly favorable treatment at the expense of the man.

Women in Pakistan, to the social and cultural conditions, are more disadvantaged than the women in modern western democratic societies. Educated and professional women in urban areas who are from upper class of the society, enjoy much better status and rights than illiterate women in rural areas. In rural areas, women are discouraged in attaining higher education just for the sake of avoiding the time when women can lead man while in urban areas, women are encouraged to get educated, so girls energetically join the technical courses but after getting technically or professionally qualified they are not granted permission to work, this is the reason we don't find girls at offices as much as we find men.

This is a major drawback as it leads a nation towards economic disaster as half the nation in the form of girls if won't participate then economic will diminish. They are not allowed to participate in economic activities and hence their professional qualification goes in the bin. The story of social and economic injustice with reference to gender discrimination is very long. As it exists in almost all the societies. Girls excel in academics so more girls avail admissions in medical colleges. After getting qualified as M.B.B.S, majority girls do not practice due to our social factors.

Futhermore, in villages, girls are usually not asked whom do they want to marry; parents just fix wedding dates of their daughters to the groom of their choice. Such injustice discourage females at higher level. This is a point of sorry. Male should accept the existence of females and should help them to work like them.
